About Us

     Established in 1993, Crystal Lake Conservatory, formerly Jo-Ann Adams School of Dance, is the longest-serving dance studio in Simcoe, Ontario.

     Founded by Jo-Ann Adams, and today headed by Heather-Ami Cook, Crystal Lake Conservatory upholds a high standard of dance education. Our classes are accessible, age-appropriate, and faciliated by certified and experienced instructors.

     Crystal Lake Conservatory is proud to be Canada's 2nd YPAD Certified Studio. We strive to uphold the Youth Protection Advocates in Dance mottos and creeds. 

     C.L.C. is housed in our own secure studio building, featuring a coded front door lock. We boast three floors of spacious studios, dressing rooms, kitchenettes, and waiting rooms. We have a parent lounge with free Wifi, as well as healthy-food vending machine. Each studio has viewing widows, sprung Marley floors, floor-to-ceiling mirrors, and top-of-the-line sound systems.

     We offer classes from 18 months to Adult. Our Conservatory Division features instructors certified in Royal Academy of Dance, Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing, Acrobatic Arts, Alixa Flexibility, National Coaching Certificate Program, Associated Dance Arts for Professional Teachers, Deflying Fitness, and Barreworks. All of our Instructors are YPAD, First Aid, and CPR certified and hold a clear Police Records Check - Vulnerable Sector.

     Miss Heather-Ami and Crystal Lake Conservatory are proud and privileged to uphold the legacy of Miss Jo-Ann Adams, and continue the tradition of quality dance instruction in Norfolk County.
